1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the taxi services provided by Central Cabs Neath("we", "our", or "us"). By booking a taxi with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Our Services

We provide taxi and private hire services in and around Neath, South Wales. Our services include:

  • Local taxi journeys
  • Airport transfers
  • Long-distance travel
  • Medical appointment transport
  • Wedding transport
  • Corporate and executive hire
  • Special occasion transport

3. Bookings

3.1 Making a Booking

Bookings can be made by telephone (01639 642457) or through our online booking form. When making a booking, you must provide accurate information including pick-up and drop-off locations, date, time, and contact details.

3.2 Confirmation

For advance bookings, we will confirm your booking by phone or email. A booking is only confirmed once you receive confirmation from us.

3.3 Cancellations

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or modify a booking. For airport transfers and advance bookings, we request at least 2 days' notice for cancellations.

4. Fares and Payment

4.1 Fares

Fares are calculated based on the journey distance and time. For airport transfers and long-distance journeys, we may provide a fixed quote. The fare displayed on the taxi meter is the definitive fare unless a fixed price has been agreed in advance.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept cash and card payments. Payment is due upon completion of the journey unless alternative arrangements have been made.

4.3 Waiting Time

If you are not at the pick-up location at the agreed time, waiting charges may apply after a reasonable waiting period. We reserve the right to leave and charge a cancellation fee after excessive waiting time.

5. Passenger Responsibilities

As a passenger, you agree to:

  • Be at the agreed pick-up location at the scheduled time
  • Wear a seatbelt at all times during the journey
  • Treat our drivers and vehicles with respect
  • Not smoke or consume alcohol in the vehicle
  • Not carry illegal substances
  • Take responsibility for any damage caused to the vehicle
  • Ensure children are properly secured in appropriate car seats

6. Luggage and Personal Belongings

We will transport reasonable amounts of luggage. Please inform us of any large items when booking. We are not responsible for loss or damage to luggage or personal belongings unless caused by our negligence.

If you leave items in the vehicle, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to return lost property but cannot guarantee its recovery.

7. Vehicle Capacity

Our standard vehicles can accommodate up to 4 passengers. For larger groups, please contact us to discuss your requirements. We reserve the right to refuse service if the number of passengers exceeds the licensed capacity of the vehicle.

8. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a journey if a passenger:

  • Is abusive, threatening, or violent towards the driver
  • Is excessively intoxicated
  • Attempts to carry dangerous, illegal, or prohibited items
  • Refuses to wear a seatbelt
  • Damages or attempts to damage the vehicle

9. Liability

9.1 Our Liability

We are committed to providing a safe and reliable service. All our vehicles are Hackney Carriage licensed and fully insured. However, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

9.2 Delays

While we make every effort to arrive on time, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
